LPL Political Action Committee (LPL PAC) is an important tool for supporting the business goals and
objectives of LPL. LPL PAC contributions help LPL foster relationships with those in Washington who can help shape our industry. The LPL PAC is supported by eligible LPL employees and advisors who make voluntary personal contributions for the purpose of making donations to candidates for federal office.
WHO WE SUPPORT
U.S. House of Representatives
The LPL PAC supports leading members of the
House Financial Services Committee because of this Committee's jurisdiction over issues impacting LPL Financial, including the creation of a self-regulatory organization for investment advisors, and the SEC's study of the fiduciary duty for investment advisers and broker-dealers. We also give support to influential members of the
House Ways and Means Committee due to this Committee's jurisdiction over ERISA and retirement issues and tax reform and members of the
House Education and Workforce
Committee given this Committee's jurisdiction over the Department of Labor fiduciary definition reform issue.
The LPL PAC supports members of the
Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (jurisdiction over the Department of Labor and pension/retirement issues), the
Senate Finance Committee (jurisdiction over taxation and revenue measures) and the
Senate Banking Committee (jurisdiction over banking, insurance, financial markets, and securities issues).
